Weekly summary 28/2020

Hi,

this is a summary of what was going in the doll world in the 28th week of 2020, as far as we at Dollstudio & DS Doll Europe were concerned.

1) Novel Coronavirus situation.

The pandemic sitation remains mostly unchanged; total case numbers, new infections, and deaths keep climbing up. The amount of daily new infections is now over 200,000 and closing in to a quarter million per day.

There is a increasing number of reports about 2nd infections, so it becomes increasingly likely that you can get Covid-19 more than once. Some people seem to develop some degree of immunity for a couple of weeks, others don't.

"Thank you", Ms Shi 'bat lady' Zhengli for your elaborate gain of function research on Coronaviruses, and thank you Mr Fauci for sponsoring this irresponsible research for so many years.

Doll-wise not much is going on. Doll makers keep pushing out new products, but customers rarely buy anything expensive.

For the UPS special line, you now need to factor in 40-50 days just for transportation.

2) New arrivals.

This week, nine new heads were introduced:

• Xycolo ›YinanCE‹ head (XC no. 15, with closed eyes) - silicone

Also, five new body styles were released:

• New arrivals: Doll House 168 DH20-80/G body style - TPE / ~80 cm / ~6 kg (2020 series)
• New arrivals: Gynoid Tech GT-155/E body style (= Model 12) / silicone / ~155 cm / ~28 kg
• New arrivals: HR Doll HR-165/E body style - TPE / height ~165 cm / weight ~51 kg
• New arrivals: SE Doll SE-163/C body style - TPE / height ~163 cm / weight ~37 kg
• New arrivals: YL Doll YL-141 body style / TPE / ~141 cm / ~26 kg
