Weekly summary 08/2021

Hi,

this is a summary of what was going in the doll world in the 8th week of 2021, as far as we at Dollstudio & DS Doll Europe were concerned.

1) Coronavirus situation. a) The situation in general. Adoption of Ivermectin treatment procedures is being stalled, again. Paul E. Marik, Pierre Kory and eight other members of the FLCCC alliance submitted a "Review of the Emerging Evidence Demonstrating the Efficacy of Ivermectin in the Prophylaxis and Treatment of COVID-19" to Frontiers in Pharmacology on December 18th, 2020 (doi: 10.3389/fphar.2021.643369). The paper was accepted on January 13th, 2021, but publication was pulled from publication with no explanation given. However, with now 42 studies including 21 Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) reporting positive effects of Ivermectin, there is sufficient research proving the efficacy of COVID-19 prophylaxis and treatment protocols like I-MASK+ and MATH+ available. The SARS-CoV-2 virus is similarily managable like any other easily transmissible virus. #FollowtheScience.

b) Impact on the doll business. In China, CNY public holidays are over, and the most factories have resumed business, though some report a shorage of workers. Also, air freight capacities remain severely limited and expensive.

2) New arrivals.

This week, two new heads were introduced:

• Jarliet ›Jolie‹ head - TPE
• Zelex G25 head - silicone

Also, one new body style was released:

• New arrivals: Piper Silicone Action Figure Series SAF-100/J aka ›Ariel‹ by Piper Doll - silicone / ~100 cm / ~10 kg

New head variants of existing heads:

• SE Doll ›Kumi‹ head (= SE no. 076), also known as ›Miki‹ and ›Yuuki‹ - TPE
• Piper Doll ›Ariel‹ head - silicone, miniature variant for Piper S.A.F. Series
