Weekly summary 11/2021

Hi,

this is a summary of what was going in the doll world in the 11th week of 2021, as far as we at Dollstudio & DS Doll Europe were concerned.

1) Coronavirus situation. a) The situation in general. After worldwide protests in 40 countries against lockdowns and restrictions… nothing changed. Mainstream media did not even cover the massive demonstrations. Same story with Ivermectin - completely ignored in most countries. With now 46 studies including 24 Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) reporting positive effects of Ivermectin, there is sufficient research proving the efficacy of COVID-19 prophylaxis and treatment protocols like I-MASK+ and MATH+ available. The SARS-CoV-2 virus is similarily managable like any other easily transmissible virus. #FollowtheScience.

b) Impact on the doll business. So far, no shipments from after CNY holidays were delivered, so we need to work with predictions from Chinese shipping agents. According to their experience, shipments to North America are supposed to take about two weeks. Shipments to EU destinations with import fees clearance take between two weeks (DHL special line, only available for miniature dolls) and 60+ days (UPS special line, full sized dolls). Small items like separate heads can not be shipped with the special services anymore, so we have set up a new method for import fees clearance and freight forwarding.

2) New arrivals.

This week, six new heads were introduced:

• Gynoid Tech ›Ada‹ head - silicone
• Irontech Doll ›Viola‹ head - TPE
• SE Doll ›Mio‹ head (= SE no. 102) - TPE
• WM Dolls no. 355 elf head (= Jinsan no. 355) - TPE
• Xycolo ›Yana‹ head - silicone

One new body style was released:

• New arrivals: Gynoid Tech GT-160 body style (= Model 14) / silicone / ~160 cm / ~28 kg

No new head variants of existing heads were introduced.

No new variants of existing body styles were introduced.

3) Industry news.
