Weekly summary 33/2021

Hi,

this is a summary of what was going in the doll world in the 33rd week of 2021, as far as we at Dollstudio & DS Doll Europe & Xycolo Europe were concerned.

1) Corona situation. a) The situation in general. Deaths from or with the Corona jabs keep climbing up. The U.S. Government's Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) reports 12.791 deaths, 16.044 permanent disabilities, 70.667 emergency room visits, 51.242 hospitalizations, 13.139 life threatening events, among 682.873 reported injuries from 571.831 cases. The EU database EudraVigilance reports 21.766 deaths and 2.074.410 injuries. According to official media reports from Brazil, over 32.000 people in Brazil have died following a Corona jab during a 5-month period. All this data comes from official sources, and some medical professionals believe that there is a major underreporting with at least factor ten.

At the same time, proper Corona treatment is still denied in many countries around the world. With currently 63 studies including 31 Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) reporting positive effects of Ivermectin, there is sufficient research proving the efficacy of Covid-19 prophylaxis and treatment protocols like I-MASK+ and MATH+ available. Also, as reported in the Lancet, inhalation of Budesonid can reduce the probability of severe courses of disease by 90%. All of this is clear evidence that the SARS-CoV-2 virus is similarily managable like any other easily transmissible virus. For what plausible reason is treatment and prophylaxis with Ivermectin or Budesonid still suppressed? Is the reason that the Emergency Use Authorization for the Corona vaccines would be void if a treatment with proven medication would exist? #FollowtheScience.

b) Impact on the doll business. Corona starts to show some influence on the doll business, again, as two major ports in mainland China - Shenzhen and Ningo - have been shut down because of suspected Corona cases. However, international transit times for doll shipments as well to destinations in Europe as to destinations in North America remain normal. Besides that, ripple effects are now evident for everybody as there are price increases and supply chain disruptions in almost any line of business. Also, for whatever reason, responses from Chinese manufacturers remain to be extremely slow.

2) New arrivals.

This week, three new heads were introduced:

• Irontech ›Lola‹ head - TPE
• Irontech ›Scarlet‹ head - TPE
• SE Doll ›Kerry‹ head (= SE no. no. 098) - TPE

Also, one new body style was released:

• New arrivals: YL Doll YL-153 body style / TPE / ~153 cm / ~46 kg

No new head variants of existing heads were introduced.

Also, since March 14th, 2021, TDF-accredited vendors are no longer allowed to link to "pages that promote dolls that are disallowed at TDF", including their own shop websites. This is a historical milestone. Additionally, numerous pictures by popular photographers like Mizuwali (e.g. Piper Doll) and Mandos (WM Dolls) habe been dissaproved by TDF management.
