Product warning: Avoid TPE dolls with wax coating!
Product warning: Avoid TPE dolls with wax coating!
Hi,
several Chinese TPE doll makers have recently introduced a "non oily non sticky" surface finishing. Sometimes this "enhancement" is also advertised with "no powdering required".
In some cases, the technical approach to accomplish these "enhancements" is a wax coating.
Here are some pictures how this wax coating can look after a while:
The substances currently used for wax coating are not elastic after hardening. This can result in numerous "cracks" in the skin surface.
The wax coating method has also a number of other disadvantages and can lead to several follow-up problems (e.g. washing with warm water), so our current recommendation is to avoid TPE dolls with wax coating until the technical procedures have matured.
The to Indigo for the pictures!

Re: Product warning: Avoid TPE dolls with wax coating!
OMG, that's looks terrible. I don't think they have matured technical procedures of was coating. As most of TPE dolls I know, they both need powdering to keep it last longer.
