Weekly summary 35/2021

Hi,

this is a summary of what was going in the doll world in the 35th week of 2021, as far as we at Dollstudio & DS Doll Europe & Xycolo Europe were concerned.

1) Corona situation. a) The situation in general. Parts of the world have returned into lockdowns; Australia is currently in the 6th lockdown. Other parts have resumed normal life, e.g. Sweden, Denmark, Texas, and Florida. Mass protests in France, Greece and Eastern Europe against oppressive measures without evidence-based foundation.

At the same time, proper Corona treatment is still denied in many countries around the world, and a massive propaganda war is ongoing where openly false claims against Ivermection are spread through mainstream meadia. With currently 63 studies including 31 Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) reporting positive effects of Ivermectin, there is sufficient research proving the efficacy of Covid-19 prophylaxis and treatment protocols like I-MASK+ and MATH+ available. Also, as reported in the Lancet, inhalation of Budesonid can reduce the probability of severe courses of disease by 90%. All of this is clear evidence that the SARS-CoV-2 virus is similarily managable like any other easily transmissible virus. For what plausible reason is treatment and prophylaxis with Ivermectin or Budesonid still suppressed? #FollowtheScience.

b) Impact on the doll business. The Corona NPIs influence doll business, again; air freight costs have increased by 15-20% in the past weeks. International transit times for doll shipments as well to destinations in Europe as to destinations in North America have started to slow down, again. Also, ripple effects are now evident for everybody as there are price increases and supply chain disruptions in almost any line of business.

2) New arrivals.

This week, four new heads were introduced:

• Gynoid Tech Wan Ying head (婉莹, Wǎn yíng) - silicone
• Irontech Doll ›Viola‹ head - TPE
• Jiusheng no. 28 head - TPE/silicone
• SE Doll ›Natalie‹ head (SE no. 016) - TPE

Also, two new body styles were released:

• New arrivals: Gynoid Tech GT-165/D body style aka Model 16 - silicone / ~165 cm / ~32 kg
• New arrivals: Zelex ZES-167/E body style - silicone / ~167 cm / ~52 kg

No new head variants of existing heads were introduced.

Also, since March 14th, 2021, TDF-accredited vendors are no longer allowed to link to "pages that promote dolls that are disallowed at TDF", including their own shop websites. This is a historical milestone. Additionally, numerous pictures by popular photographers like Mizuwali (e.g. Piper Doll) and Mandos (WM Dolls) habe been dissaproved by TDF management.
