Weekly summary 36/2021

Hi,

this is a summary of what was going in the doll world in the 36th week of 2021, as far as we at Dollstudio & DS Doll Europe & Xycolo Europe were concerned.

1) Corona situation. a) The situation in general. The stupid Ivermection deworming hoax has been debunked. Though, there is still a massive propaganda attack against all Corona treatments except the injections. Major parts of the old mass media are now openly spreading fake news.

However, with currently 63 studies including 31 Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) reporting positive effects of Ivermectin, there is plenty of sound research proving the efficacy of Covid-19 prophylaxis, and treatment protocols like I-MASK+ and MATH+ available. Also, as reported in the Lancet, inhalation of Budesonid can reduce the probability of severe courses of disease by 90%. All of this is clear evidence that the SARS-CoV-2 virus is similarily managable like any other easily transmissible virus. For what plausible reason is treatment and prophylaxis with Ivermectin or Budesonid keeps getting suppressed? #FollowtheScience.

b) Impact on the doll business. The Corona NPIs influence doll business - air freight costs have increased by 15-20% in the past weeks, and international transit times for some - but luckily not all - doll shipments have started to slow down, again. Ripple effects are now evident for everybody as there are price increases and supply chain disruptions in almost any line of business.

2) New arrivals.

This week, seven new heads were introduced:

• Irontech Doll ›Cinderella‹ head - TPE
• Jiusheng no. 6 head - TPE/silicone

Also, three new body styles were released:

• New arrivals: Gynoid Tech GT-165/D body style aka Model 16 - silicone / ~165 cm / ~32 kg
• New arrivals: Jiusheng JIS-156/B body style - silicone / ~156 cm / ~32 kg
• New arrivals: WM Dolls WM-169/L body style - TPE / 169 cm / 44 kg

No new head variants of existing heads were introduced.

Also, since March 14th, 2021, TDF-accredited vendors are no longer allowed to link to "pages that promote dolls that are disallowed at TDF", including their own shop websites.
